At the time of this writing I am saddened by the upcoming loss of someone I knew and loved many years ago, and for the loss of someone I never knew but loved.
2016 has been a rough year for those of us who listen to music or watch movies. It doesn’t matter what genre of music or movie, we all know the names Bowie, Rickman, Lemmy, Natalie Cole, Glenn Fry and now Prince, to name a few. Many of us have lost family and friends and sometimes the loss of one we never personally knew yet feel we knew better than others hurts, deeply.
Not all of us take the time to mourn these people and life will go on for the rest of us but let us not forget we are all someone’s son or daughter and we all have mothers and fathers and grandparents. Let us not forget, no person, regardless of their wealth or stature, will live forever.
It truly is okay to mourn the loss of a celebrity we never met but had the pleasure of listening to or seeing live or in a gigantic movie theater and knowing their works of art will live on past their physical being. Can you imagine the music playing in another realm, just from 2016 alone?
“If you’re ever sad, just remember the world is 4.543 billion years old and you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie.”

I realize this has nothing to do with property management or our office today, but we’re all human and sometimes we need to talk about something other than work.
